Do you have questions about Candida symptoms and options for treatment?
There is nothing like feeling under par or miserable all the time and no one can tell you what’s wrong with you. That’s what happened to me. I knew something wasn’t right. I was tired all the time, I had trouble swallowing, and eating dairy foods just made everything worse.
Does this sound like you? Are you searching for what could be wrong but your doctors tell you that they can’t find anything? If you have some of the same symptoms that I did or others such as unexplained sinus congestion, intestinal gas, difficulty concentrating, muscle or joint pain or even a rash or thrush, you may be suffering from a yeast infection caused by an unchecked overgrowth of naturally occurring yeast in your body – specifically Candida albicans.
Common Misspellings: candida albacans, candida albican, kandida, and candidas.
My undiagnosed symptoms led me to do some pretty intensive research because I was just tired of being uncomfortable all the time. I read the research findings of Dr. Weston A. Price and Dr. C. Orion Truss, two pioneers in the study of nutrition and Candida albicans, respectively. Dr. Truss made his life’s work the study of the condition. He was the Assistant Chief of Medicine at the U. S. Air Force Hospital and was also noted for his research into the female endocrine system. Dr. Price’s focus was on the relationship between health and nutrition. He used his extensive world travels to gather research on these topics and to establish a causal relationship between them.
I adapted what I learned from Drs. Price and Truss and other scholars to my own case. Dairy foods weren’t the only culprits – I had to make a serious lifestyle change and alter my diet considerably. But I felt a whole lot better and there were some side benefits, too, such as a noticeable improvement in the appearance of my skin.
This site has been written to help you avoid the runaround when you know something is wrong with your health and you suspect that you just might be suffering from yeast syndrome. We will identify the symptoms of the condition and how they are connected to your diet and the medications you may be taking. We will also explore how the condition presents itself in men, women and children and what treatments are available to substantially lessen or eliminate the symptoms.
Many researchers believe that the conditions that lead to candidiasis are a precursor to other conditions such as colitis. We will also explain how these conditions are related and what you can do to help prevent them from getting worse.
Life is too short not to feel your best and be able to physically do the things you want to do to maximize your enjoyment of each and every day. I have incorporated my own experiences and research as well as the most current academic research into the programs and recommendations on this site. Together, we can take positive and meaningful steps to improve your health.
